Weathering and Erosion is part of the South Carolina standards that teaches students about different types of environments. Utilizing Stream Tables will allow students to gain evidence to support scientific reasoning that weathering, erosion and deposition affect ecoregions. Using the inquiry approach will allow students to gain a deeper understanding of chemical and mechanical weathering. Also, to gain a deeper understanding of the importance these processes have on environmental changes within their communities, state, country and global societies in relation to industry, agriculture, and economy. The impact of environmental changes allows students to make better decisions today as what will impact their world tomorrow.
