My UIL Computer Applications is desperately in need of supplies. For the contest, a laptop with windows 10 and a functioning printer is needed for each of the three competitors. We used two extremely old, unreliable computers and my 10-year-old DAUGHTER'S laptop to compete at the district meet. Our printers rarely worked and we even had to use my 20-year-old college printer. It was embarrassing to even show up to the contest with our equipment. Our UIL Calculator Applications Team has been very successful, but we need our own calculators to work with. We finished 1st through 4th place at the district contest and the team advanced all the way to the state competition. We are using calculators that are being used in our math classes. We have to take turns using calculators in order to practice during the week and I have to meet with math teachers in order to have enough to even make our contests. The team deserves to have a "team set," so that we do not have to borrow them from other teachers.
