While some students do just fine sitting in a chair and participating in a class for 90 minutes, others need to move around or stand up for a while to be productive. I want to provide my students with a space that can serve as an alternative to sitting down for the entire class period. Students will have the option of moving to a standing desk if they need to stretch or get on their feet without missing instruction. Standing desks could be a game-changer for some students.
