The resources I have selected will create a warm and welcoming environment for my students to enjoy. These items will also encourage my students and help them to be productive and organized. Some of the resources I have requested include: petri dishes, a rocks and fossils kit, a plant cell model, graduated cylinders, bulletin board trim, an easel pad, stapler, rubber bands, binder clips, a wall map, paper clips, and inspirational posters. The atmosphere of a classroom can set the mood for learning, and the organization will give more time to educate and a stress-free environment. My students deserve the best in their learning environment and the tools to succeed in their education. I think if they have the proper tools, they can be the best they can be. With that being said, some of my students are at poverty levels and cannot provide materials for projects, but with help from outside sources, my students can add that "extra smile of pride" to a project. The models will give them a visual and help guide them during our lessons.
