In a world where there are so many restrictions for our own health and those around us, I want my students to be able to choose where they learn in the classroom. Flexible seating gives my students a choice to pick a spot or seat that works best for them! Some students work better on the floor or in different seating options and giving them this choice empowers them to be comfortable, have a say, focus on their work and be successful. I have noticed my students stay on task more often when they have the ability to choose where they work. During independent work they have the choice to move around and get comfortable which allows me to focus on my small group or individual student. Being stuck at a desk all day is not fun for adults, so you can imagine how hard it is for our students. Any help is so appreciated and I know my students with thrive with these options. The seating optins will be used for social distancing, during independant work times, and while students work together in groups.
