Students will have digital access to reading resources in the building and at home which will engage them as readers while supporting reading comprehension and vocabulary building. The materials will be assigned to students for daily and weekly reading to help improve their vocabulary and fluency building. The majority of students may not have the resources to access this type of digital information. This project will offer engaging visual and auditory stimulation while connecting our students to real-world events. Students will be assigned stories to read or listen to that are aligned with the current content area and asked to independently identify vocabulary words and answer comprehension questions to expand their knowledge of the topic.
