My students come from a rural community located in Northeast Wisconsin. They make up a student body that is driven in two directions: post-secondary education and work bound. Like many small towns around the nation, our students have been affected by the economy. In the last four years at least two bedrock manufacturing businesses have left the community and caused students to deal with family job loss. Despite these pitfalls they have remained dedicated to their schooling, maybe even more than before, and strive with enthusiasm to meet the academic challenges handed to them.

About my class
