I have taught AP European History for almost a decade and I have decided to freshen up the course with historical fiction and non-fiction. The goal is to give my students insight into what a college-level history course will be like as well as livening the class up with more discussion of other authors' perspectives on significant historical topics, such as the Holy Roman Empire, the impact of colonization, the French Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, and World War I. I hope to create an environment of critical thinking when looking at events from the past.
