We are equipping our new band room at our new middle school. Adding this xylophone will help give our percussionists the opportunity to play on more than just bell kits. With this instrument percussionists can leave their bell kits at home for practice rather than struggling to transport them to and from school every day. This instrument will expand the scope of our percussion section, help with instruction and give the players experience on multiple types of mallet percussion. Many works for band specifically call for xylophone in addition to bells, with this purchase we will no longer have to "substitute" instruments.
