I have a class of 19 very curious kindergarten students. 14 of the students are girls. While all of the students enjoy hands-on learning and working and thinking like a scientist, I want to make sure that the girls have equal opportunities to engage science, enjoy the natural world and possibly follow career paths in the sciences. The students have a love for science and are very insightful as they see science integrated into our curriculum in a variety of ways. They are able to connect and make generalizations about science and math. They are excited about using scientific tools as they investigate and describe their surroundings. They work well together as they discover how science impacts their everyday lives.

About my class
