Due to pandemic there has not been an on stage performance in our school over a year. My students are ready to jump back into the performing in person. We tired to do a virtual show in the Fall but it was difficult with wifi issues and recording the show. In order to do an in person show safety of our students in paramount. So all students will need to wear their masks the whole time while on stage and they can not project their voices loud enough through the mask. Students need to be heard. We spend so much time rehearsing, memorizing lines, and creating characters, that it is very disheartening to have an audience that can't hear us. Many students who struggle in core classes often shine in the arts, and these types of performances give them an opportunity to show off their creativity and skill. We work hard on sets, costumes and props. It would be a shame if you couldn't hear the the lines. With this new microphone system, we will be able to be give each student their own microphone to wear under their mask so they can be heard on stage, and show off all of our hard work and dedication.
