The vibrant and exciting pictures from these books will increase student excitement and motivation. These books will allow me to teach guided reading groups and supply students with the skills they need for success. These books will reinforce strategies and build reading proficiency in my classroom. After reading these books in guided groups with me, students will be able to put the books in their independent reading bags. This allows them to reread the familiar stories many times, which increases fluency. They will also be able to practice the skills and strategies I taught them in guided reading groups, on their own.
