Students always enjoy learning “how the sausage is made” in everything and games are no exception. Working in teams, my students are tasked with designing their own tabletop game using basic materials. The hope is that by the end of the year they can showcase their games at a game convention, COVID-19 willing. Our students deserve a little fun this year and I hope to help them create fun for themselves and others. Having the right materials allows students to engage in the most fundamental part of design, the total failure and then tearing apart of the current design and starting all over again. The products selected here allow the students the freedom to explore, experiment, and enjoy the process without the stress of shortage. Most importantly by providing materials for the students ensures equitable access to success.
