The fourth grade teachers at Brook Park want to end the year with a grade-wide novel study. We are requesting books for our last round of book clubs. For this round, we'd like to focus on the themes of accepting difference and choosing kindness. We would like to provide students with their own copy of the book, "Wonder". The fourth graders will be given the option to read the story on their own or to follow along to an audio recording of the story. Students will complete both in-school and remote reading assignments, and our in class instruction for the last part of the year will center on the story and the Common Core learning standards that relate to it. At the end of the book, students will complete a project to showcase what they've read and they will share their projects with their peers, school staff, and families.
