My project funds items that will be added to the Olympic View kindergarten "Cougar Point Store". Throughout each day, students earn Cougar Points for demonstrating safe, responsible, and respectful behavior and can exchange their points for a prize at the end of the week. PBIS (Positive Behavior Incentive Program) is a research-based, culturally responsive system that is especially beneficial for students with diverse learning needs and those who have experienced trauma. To ensure safety as we transition back into the building, my students will not have recess, lunch, and other social activities. Consequentially, the students will need consistent positive reinforcement throughout the day if they are to stay academically engaged and safe within the social distanced setting.
