Our goal of book clubs is to make learning enjoyable and exciting for students! We want to keep books in our students' hands to continue building their enthusiasm and passion for reading. We are requesting books for our end-of-the-year book clubs. For this set of book clubs, we'd liked to focus on books that get kids hooked on a series that they will want to continue this summer. Students will be given a choice of which book they'd like to read between "Wishtree", "Stella Diaz Has Something to Say", and "Planet Omar: Accidental Trouble Magnet", followed by the option to read the story on their own or to follow along with an audio recording of the story. Following each day's reading assignment, students will respond to discussion questions and engage with their 3rd-grade peers via Flipgrid, a video recording tool. At the end of the book, students will participate in a book project to showcase what they've read and share their projects with their peers, school staff, and their families.
