We as teachers as well as students were all forced last year to integrate technology into the classroom that we called home. Prior to COVID technology was simply a supplement or support to instruction, however now it is an important tool for everyday use. Students daily use their computer for various district recommended apps to enhance their learning, however I am attached to my desktop at my desk unable to move around and physically show students a device without them having to stop what they are doing, close their chrome book and physically come to my desk. This iPad pro will promote Nevada Academic Content Standards as technology has proven to be effective and engaging in the classroom. This resource will be the tool that I use to help support students in my classroom use their tools (Chromebooks) that have already been provided to them already. Almost all Nevada subject standards mention the use of technology to further develop content, and provide extra support for both the students, but as well as the teacher. The iPad pro will fulfill the COVID-related learning need in my classroom to allow differentiated learning during independent work, but also small group instruction. I will be able to draw visuals mark digital work electronically, send immediate feedback, and continue to provide those foundational skills they lost during the home-school portion of the pandemic.
