I would like to give my students a more holistic music-making experience by adding some Orff instruments to the classroom. I inherited a few instruments, mostly unpitched percussion when I started a year ago. Many of which were beyond repair. These xylophones will allow me to build lessons around student interests. I look forward to being able to explore facets of music we haven’t yet explored. With the addition of these Orff instruments, we will be able to improvise melodically as well as rhythmically. We will be able to accompany known songs as a class. We will have the tools to create.
