The flexible seating options in this project will allow my students to exercise some choice in how they learn best. Many of my students will be returning to in person learning for the first time since March 2020. Most students do not learn best in a traditional desk and chair. In my classroom, we use a station rotation blended learning model. Students frequently rotate between collaborative small group activities, independent practice/ personalized online modules, and a teacher-led station. These activities don’t necessarily require a desk and chair. I have had students who can’t focus in their normal seat, but when I let them sit on the floor under their desk, they are an entirely different student! Help me bring out the best in every student.
