These students will be given the opportunity to view life around them through a lens of a camera. They will be able to take photographs of the beautiful art, nature, food, and life in Oakland! Our students will be joining us on a weeklong journey that will take them through “the town’s” murals, to family-owned businesses, to capture foods produced in their own neighborhoods, as well as documenting all the nature around them! They will get to use their own photography skills to capture Oakland’s beauty and develop a scrapbook that they can keep forever, all from the comfort of their own homes! Students will be out from behind their screens and view their surroundings behind the lens of their new cameras!
