This kitchen and class will enable our school to add hands-on cooking experiences to our high school Life Skills class. Learning how to cook healthy meals is an important skill that ALL students should have as they enter adulthood. As obesity is on the rise and home economics classes fade away, students are missing out on opportunities to learn how to cook healthy, nutritious meals. This kitchen and class on our campus will enable us to practice this crucial life skill and will also allow us to add a family and consumer science course to our elective options. We want them to help them hone their reading and problem-solving skills at the same time.

About my class
