The flexible seating options that I have chosen for my classroom will help my students feel more comfortable in their learning environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. It also allows them to be comfortable, focused, and productive in the learning process. Flexible seating encourages an atmosphere of community. When students are in individual desks they tend to be territorial and possessive over their space and supplies. Flexible seating encourages group work and an atmosphere of family. I believe that flexible seating will help create a classroom that is conducive to learning.
