As most of the students I teach are at home, with just a few of them coming to school, my mission of presenting the topics I need to teach to both virtual and on site learners is fairly complicated. In my classroom, I have a Clear Touch panel that I use as a Smartboard and it allows me to write on it and I can save the documents and then export them to students. I could really benefit of a good touch screen laptop which would allow me not only to prepare my lessons better from at home, but also to use its features in presenting the information better to my students. I currently have a laptop that, during the class online meetings, I use so that I could see my online students. If I could get a touch screen laptop with a big screen, I would be able to present from the laptop to the Clear Touch board while keeping an eye on my students. It is important for both my students and I to see each other as their faces during direct instruction as that is one way to get the feedback about the lesson from them. If I could get a good touch screen laptop with a big enough screen I could also grade easily the work my students upload as a picture of their paper.
