I chose to add paints, paper, sensory, and STEM materials to my wish list because these materials will help me teach to the whole child, and help my students learn through not only their heads, but their hands. Kinesthetic learning in the early years is the best way for children to retain knowledge, and I feel it is of the upmost importance to also involve their natural curiosity and love of learning. The opportunity to create with the physicality of hands-on learning experiences will help solidify the lessons they learn. I also wish for more diversity in my classroom materials, so included puzzles and play figures which will help represent our diverse community and inclusion in my classroom.

About my class
