The counseling office is about 9 feet by 9 feet with no windows. I love my cozy lil office, but the ventilation is nearly nonexistent. Some students call it my "counseling dungeon." 😂 I provide individual counseling sessions and small group counseling sessions with my students in the office. Since the counseling space is so small and we are fully in-person, an air purifier would drastically help the health and safety of students seeking counseling. The conversations, struggles, and trauma these students are facing are indescribable (especially during a pandemic). They deserve a clean and comforting space to grow, learn, and heal.
