A second monitor would drastically change my at-home teaching situation from choppy lessons to smooth flowing ones. Because I currently only have one monitor, I have to switch back and forth between seeing my students and looking at my lesson plans, assignments, and numerous other things. Because of this, I am having to pause my teaching many times throughout a single lesson, thus adding to the time that students are online with me and sometimes reducing their interest in the lesson. In the past, I have always had living, breathing students directly in front of me, but since I have been forced to teach from home, I have had to make the best of a "home office/classroom" setting that isn't ideal for what I need to accomplish from it. Adding a second monitor would not only benefit my own productivity, but also the engagement of my students each and every day!
