My classroom has traditional student chairs with the option for textured cushions to help with self-regulation skills. I have observed our STEM room which has flexible seating utilized successfully. I want to provide more seating options for students to be able to choose which provides the best learning experience for them. I am asking for four height-adjustable Wobble chairs to be used for three-year-olds through fifth graders. These chairs will help create a calming atmosphere which will foster greater learning for all. Better concentration with the opportunity to move around without bothering others, remaining in the task at hand for a longer time and increasing posture which is required for optimum articulation skills. With fewer distractions, my students will be more engaged in the learning process and demonstrate an increased focus on the learning process. This is a small way to help them and make a large difference in their learning experiences. Thank you for your kindness and generosity as we work toward refining our sensory regulation skills.
