My students learn video production and cover school events. They are the news crew for the school. After learning filming tecniques, video editing, and how to conduct interviews, my students film school events such as sports, plays, musicals, concerts, etc. They also do feature pieces where they interview faculty and students. Their videos are then shared through our school network for teachers to play in their classrooms, and some of the students' pieces go up on our YouTube channel called DPHS Multimedia. All 45 students share just 6 camera kits, so they could always use more camera kits because there are often none available when students seek to sign out a kit.
