Many of my students lack basic classroom supplies and this past year has really emphasized this with students only able to use materials that they have at their home. While we were working remotely, students struggled to find paper and pencils to write out math problems. They also did not have headphones to listen to our class instruction without the distractions of siblings also having their audio on for their own classes. I want to start next year off right by having a supply kit with everything they may need to complete their school work in all of their classes. We have whiteboards for students to show their work, but every student needs their own markers to use in all of our classes. Students need earbuds to listen to instructional videos at their own pace without disrupting others working on a different task while in the room. Students also need their own pencil sharpeners to not distract others in the classroom with unnecessary movement and noise of the sharpener.
