I am a K-4 Literacy Teacher and I see 7 small groups of students each day (about 40 students). In my position, I support students who struggle to acquire foundational literacy skills by providing intervention, utilizing scientifically-based, research-reviewed programs (SBRR), to struggling readers in grades kindergarten through grade four. The focus of this intervention is to develop and support students' working knowledge of concepts of print, the alphabetic principle, academic and content-specific vocabulary, reading comprehension strategies, and essential elements of the English writing system.
