This year our school is using a hybrid model. We have some students learning at home only, some students learning in-person for 2 days and at home for 2 days, and the students with the most need are in-person 4 days a week. We are teaching in-person and online at the same time. I am a special education teacher who co-teaches all day. I move around the school to different classrooms to teach. Having a podium would be incredibly helpful as I do not have a desk of my own in the other classrooms. I always bring in at least my computer, if not other teaching materials as well, and it ends up being a handful to carry around the school during passing periods. I am often setting my laptop down on a student desk when I need to type something in, as I need to carry my computer with me during class since we have a virtual class going at the same time. A mouse and mousepad would only make this better!
