A monitor will allow me to see my students AND the online teaching material at the same time. I will be able to maintain eye contact and converse with them while switching materials. If they have questions, I will be able to notice right away. With a monitor, I will be able to teach and prepare materials. This will allow the students to receive maximum instruction time with my full attention. Lapses in the teaching pace, unfortunately, give the students time to be distracted and miss valuable skill building activities.
