My students will be strengthening many life skills from the games, the marble run set, the crystal growing lab, the Stem learning toys, and the pastel chalk to create art. The games, Four in a Row, Checkers, and Tic Tac Toe will help my second grade students learn to share, problem solve, and solve conflict at times. My second-graders will build on their artistic knowledge to communicate meaning in the art they create using the water color paints and the pastel chalk. My second graders will learn about the world around them through observation and experimentation using the crystal growing lab. They will use open-ended building skills and spatial skills when designing their marble race track.
