Doodle notes, through a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, will give students the opportunity to interact with their notes in a different way. When given at the beginning of a lesson, they provide students a way to make a visual connection to the content. Students are currently using their laptops more hours in a day than ever before. Doodle notes will give students the opportunity to disconnect from electronic devices. Coloring provides many benefits. It provides a kinesthetic opportunity to students, a way to interact with the material now that labs are limited. Coloring offers a creative outlet for students; this opportunity does not present itself often in science. Coloring also provides students with a decompression type of activity. The doodle notes can be incorporated in a variety of methods. Often times there are individual needs that need to be address with students. The doodle notes can work on while this occurs. The doodle notes can be used if downtimes present themselves at the end of class. The doodle notes are differentiated. One version is more structured to help guide students through completion and the other one is less structured. I feel that the doodle notes will provide a very useful supplement to my content that students will enjoy.
