Fractions and time are hard concepts for students to grasp, especially without a manipulative. Having these tools will help them visualize and understand the skill. Every student learns differently and I believe that it is important to allow them to learn the way that is best for them. The fraction tiles will allow them not only to build and see the fractions but compare them to like fractions and make equivalent fractions. The clock dry erase mats will allow the students to use the strategies of jumping on a number line/count by 5s on the clock to find the amount of time that has passed. These manipulatives will build math success in my classroom!
