This carpet is about double the size of our current, tiny rug. Our current rug only fits about 14 students, which forces the remainder of my students to sit on the floor. This distracts my kindergarteners (they tend to play with lost crayons on the floor), preventing them from focusing on and learning the material I am teaching during carpet time. We use our carpet for story time, whole-group learning, and when we are working with partners. With this larger rug, each student can sit and focus during carpet time-impacting their learning. Thank you!
