My number one goal as a teacher has always been to build my students up. Academically and emotionally, these kids deserve a cheerleader and a home inside the school. Utilizing graphic novels in our classroom will help my students build their self-confidence when it comes to reading, but it will also allow them to explore new worlds and be new people. These stories can act as a comfort object during a mentally and emotionally trying time. Graphic novels are a wonderful tool for a struggling reader. Please help me provide these tools so we can build these kiddos up together.
