Due to Covid restrictions, my students are getting tired of playing the simple percussion instruments that I'm able to sanitize. I want to get them excited about learning a new instrument again! A class set of water-resistant ukuleles that I can spray down between classes would allow us to safely add a new instrument to the curriculum. Ukuleles are accessible to little hands and can allow students to play along with popular songs they know and love. Once singing is allowed again in the future, having these instruments will allow students to venture into the world of singing and playing simultaneously, as well as songwriting!
