I would love for my students to grow their love of reading. In order to do that, children need voice and choice in what they read. They need to see their own experiences reflected in literature. These books will increase choice while adding richness and diversity to our classroom library and lending depth to our book discussions. My students love to read books that they choose themselves and that reflect their lives. My classroom library could use an update on more current fiction and nonfiction book titles. These books are of high interest, are engaging, and are relatable to many students.
