These books will give my students rich literature to enjoy during independent reading time. Having a diverse classroom library will allow my students to select from authors that look like them and connect with characters to which they can relate. We are currently working in a hybrid environment, which makes the time I work with students in-person very limited. I want to maximize my impact during that time. With such a wide mix of learners in one room, I will need to focus on small group instruction and provide meaningful learning for students to work independently. Your funding will allow me to do that.
