This project will provide opportunities for students to practice mindfulness and positive coping strategies that will allow them to get the most out of their educational experience. The items in this project will be beneficial for individual and group counseling with students. Additionally, fun CBT and mindfulness games will be introduced into students' homeroom Advisory classes/lessons and will allow students to build positive relationships with their peers and teachers. During this pandemic, we've found that our students' stress levels are high and the Covid-19 safety protocols can sometimes limit extracurricular activities and opportunities to feel connected with others, which are crucial elements of the middle school experience.
