Remote teaching is here to stay. I have struggled with my own outdated windows 7 laptop since last March. The programs that we have been learning are engaging and creative however being the instructor to create and share new programs is more than my old laptop can handle. During most of our live synchronous lessons, I am sharing my screen. These activities can range from shared reading to interactive assignments and games. Having a laptop that is fast and virus free will enable me to accomplish the needs of both my students and myself. While we all as educators hope to be with our students in the near future; the reliance on technology will increase. The snow days will be a thing of the past; asynchronous learning will continue. It is my job to have a device that will enable to establish the creative lessons that will challenge and engage my students whether we are live or if they're working independently.
