As we know from research music can benefit a child in many areas-language, math, concentration and social skills. Musical activities such as singing or just listening to music stimulates the child's brain. Studies also show that young children who participate in music classes have improved speech development and learn to read more easily. I am a preschool teacher with Special Needs, my students have some speech delay, music helps to stimulates their brain. They love when we sing and dance, sadly our classroom doesn't count with the instruments or devices to play music. I have been using my phone to play music, as well as creating instruments out of crafts. They will be delighted to have actual instruments and a device to play the music.
