In my classroom, I believe one of the most exciting and engaging learning activities of the day is read aloud time. Students are instantly engaged and curious about what will happen in the story. After I have read the books, I place them in our book area for all to enjoy. All students will have the opportunity to personally enjoy the books requested. The books I am requesting will increase my student's love of reading and will also help increase oral reading fluency. The books I am requesting will be used to increase listening and accountable talk skills, promote vocabulary skills and comprehension, and engage students in a way that other materials cannot. Thank you in advance for promoting a love of reading and learning in my classroom.
