These texts will be placed in our Hallway Library (Hallbrary) for students to take to read in their classrooms and at home. As a building we are working to foster the Love, Joy, and Passion of reading and are working to create literate spaces throughout our building and community. The diverse and social justice driven texts will create space for discourse and learning both at school and at home. The texts that were chosen will closely align with our projects and the learning that is happening within the classrooms. Having new books for students to utilize creates an environment that shows them they are important and valued as students and learners. In a community where resources are often difficult to attain due to the poverty level for many families, your support in getting rich texts into our student's hands is greatly appreciated!
