Middle school can be stressful but add in having an IEP and sometimes it can be even more challenging. I want to create a space in my classroom where students can relax and either just chill, or a read a book. Giving them this space will help with anxiety, depression and may even help those with ADHD relax a little more and fidget less. Having this flexible seating will support them and help relax them as well. This space is important to creating an environment that is both welcoming and comforting as well.
