The primary grade students (K-2) at FCGLS love music. They love to create body percussion parts for all of the songs we learn in class. These students also love to play body percussion games. My student want to drum, we just don't have the instruments for them to safely play. In the age of Covid-19 instruments need to be easily cleaned and sanitized. My classroom only has drums with natural skinheads. These drums are not safe to share because the drum heads can not be cleaned in a way that won't damage them. My students would love a class set of synthetic-head, hand drums. This would allow them to transfer their body percussion to real drums. These drums will inspire the next generation of great drummers, musicians, and leaders.
