Presently, students are bringing gardening tools from home to landscape the grounds to attract bees. With an ample set of gardening tools on site, STEM students across all grade levels will have access to them whether landscaping the grounds with lemongrass and bottlebrush trees, gardening in the greenhouse, or maintaining our future commercial-scale aquaponics system. Some of the harvest will be sold to earn funds to maintain our operations, but another one of our long-term goals is to share the surplus of our harvest and fish with those in need within the community. To maximize greenhouse usage, heated propagation beds are needed to sustain growth throughout the winter months and small gardening tools for harvesting our yield. This will ensure a healthy and bountiful harvest of produce, using the tools, additional ornamental and landscaping vegetation will be planted outside the greenhouse to attract pollinators.
