These Sensory room items will allow our students with varying degrees of Autism safe items to explore and learn strategies to meet their individual sensory needs. Integrating the use of these materials and gross motor activities throughout their school day will enable our students to begin the process of self regulation. Self regulation is an important skill that many of us learn as toddlers. Through guided exploration of sensory items our students have a greater chance of Increasing their academic focus and social emotional growth. Our goal is to meet the complete needs of our students.
