I have chosen to ask for funding toward Teachers Pay Teachers speech and language materials. My students all have unique goals, from learning to produce their /r/'s, to sequencing stories, to improving syntax. My special education students need hands on, visually stimulating resources that fit their unique goals and allow for faster growth. One example I like to use is teaching story grammar to my students. Stories have so many moving parts! My students have a hard time sequencing events and grasping the important story elements. It may seem arbitrary, but telling ones stories is what personal relationships are based off of. Every child I teach deserves a chance to tell their stories and be understood. Teacher Pay Teachers has systematic lesson plans and visuals that will help my students not only grasp difficult concepts like this one, but many others. This gift card will allow me to choose materials that are suited perfectly to my student's goals. Thank you so much!
